Let’s Make You Better

Headaches

While an occasional headache can be easily managed with over the counter medications, chronic headaches require the assistance of a medical professional. Here at Integrated Medical Center of Florida, we offer a variety of procedures, both invasive and not, to provide relief for patients suffering from chronic headaches.

Headaches can be caused by many contributing factors like stress, illness or disease, the environment, poor posture, food allergies/sensitivities and much more. Our providers work to provide a comprehensive diagnostic assessment in order to design an effective treatment plan and provide the correct treatment.

Here at Integrated Medical Center of Florida, we offer a number of treatments for chronic headaches. Our treatments include Botox injections, MiRx, and medications. We also employ chiropractic treatments such as spinal adjustments as a way to treat headaches and migraines.

Every case is different, but below is a list of the most common conditions and our treatments:

Tension headaches: They can last anywhere from minutes to days, and typically start slowly. Described as a dull ache on one, or both sides of the head; or as if a tight band were around the head or behind the eyes. They’re often caused by stress in the spine and muscles of the back and neck. Tension headaches can be effectively treated using therapies like trigger point injections and spinal manipulations. Spinal Adjustments work to realign the spine using gentle manipulations, resulting in a rebalancing of the body which brings relief from pain. Adjustments of the vertebrae in the neck and upper back can be highly effective for tension headaches.

Migraine: Causing intense, throbbing head pain, symptoms also include nausea and sensitivity to light and noise They can be caused by changing blood flow in the brain, but they can also have a genetic component. Because identifying dietary triggers is a big part of treating headaches, at Integrated Medical Center of Florida, we offer nutritional counseling among our other treatments.

Cluster headaches like migraines, are related to blood flow in the brain, and can often occur one or more times a day for several days. Treatments include nutritional counseling, medication, spinal manipulations, massage therapy, trigger point therapy, and medical procedures when appropriate.

At Integrated Medical Center of Florida, we have an integrated, non-invasive approach that combines regenerative therapies, chiropractic care and holistic services to help alleviate and treat headaches and migraines. Click here to schedule a consultation or call us at 727 816 9616 today to start living your best life!
